AllWebMenus Pro and XSitePro make a great team!

Do you want more for your Web site's navigation than XSitePro's default menus?

I've always encouraged my clients to choose one of XSitePro's menus and not go to a third-party product, because there's a decent variety of XSitePro DHTML menus and you can customize them in many ways. But, truthfully, there are a number of things missing from XSitePro's menus that I can only offer my clients with a
third-party solution like AllWebMenus Pro:

  • Flexible and customizable JavaScript or SEO-friendly, CSS-based menus
  • Multiple menu rows (for larger sites, this is almost a must have)
  • Multiple columns for sub-menus (perfect for large sub-menus)
  • Full HTML control over menus/sub-menus (this feature makes anything possible!)
  • Individual icons for menu items (this is the most common customization I get asked for)
  • Unique images or buttons as menu items (supports "fixed," "rollover" and "clicked" image effects)
  • Sub-menus can open upwards, drop down or slide out
  • Parent Pages can be Category Headings
    • XSitePro's Parent Pages don't have to be links on the menu anymore! Parent Pages can become "Category Headings" in an AllWebMenus Pro menu (e.g., on the Info Bar), but still be published as links on XSitePro's other menus (e.g., Page Footer).
  • Separators/dividers can be placed between any menu items (a very nice feature for grouping similar items on vertical menus)
  • Headers and footers on vertical menus (how very stylish!) - I have to create menu headers and footers in Photoshop and add them to XSitePro manually, because they're not part of XSitePro's default menu designs. AllWebMenus Pro, however, has great menu header and footer designs you can just choose from. No need for Photoshop, no need to hire a designer.
  • Sliding Menus (can be combined with dropdown sub-menus) - Add-on feature
  • Pop-up menus (a link on your page can pop up a menu when you click on it!)
  • Modal Windows - (integrates 100% with AllWebMenus Pro)
  • Web Tooltips Builder - (integrates 100% with AllWebMenus Pro)

Hover over the big buttons below & then click on the images that drop down (or up)! Cool, eh!

What's the Downside to Using AllWebMenus Pro with XSitePro?

  1. Pages need to be added manually to AllWebMenus Pro menus, the same way they would if you were using Dreamweaver. It takes about a minute to add one new page to a menu, recompile the menu and upload the file. This means that XSitePro owners adding many pages to their sites at one time via Import Pages should probably stick to using XSitePro's built-in menus.
  2. There is a learning curve to using AllWebMenus Pro, so if you already find XSitePro a real challenge, then it may not be advisable to add another layer of complexity to your life! But for those of you with a bit of technical savvy and those who love a challenge, this is a lot of fun! And the results can be spectacular. Plus, you can always get me to implement the menu, then all you have to do is type in the new page name and URL, recompile the menu (one click) and upload the JavaScript file (one click).
